Statistical Training - Public Short Courses
We offer an annual programme of short courses, both online and face-to-face. Delivered throughout the year, these range from courses such as What Sample Size Do I Need? with R to Advanced Survival Analysis using R. We also work with partners to deliver courses.
SSC course timetable 2024
Online courses:
All online training is delivered live from Reading, United Kingdom. The delivery platform is Zoom, which may be freely accessed. During the training questions may be asked using Zoom's chat box. Note our online courses are delivered by a team of two presenters, so one presenter is always available to provide additional support. During presentations, the team member who is not speaking can take questions in addition to the presenter. We also use Zoom meetings rather than webinars to encourage further interaction during an online course.
Face-to-face courses:
We may present face-to-face courses under the umbrella of short course programmes organised by other training providers; see below for details.
Institute for Statistical and Data Science (Instats)
The SSC has produced an on-demand course, What Sample Size Do I Need? with R, which is available from Instats.
University of Southampton's Public Short Courses 2024
The SSC may present courses for S3RI at the University of Southampton, UK in 2024. If so, external links will be provided below.
If you would like a topic added to our public short course programme, please contact us.
